We had a great day at the Pleasant Grove farmers market (Promenade) yesterday! We didn't make many sales, but the rain didn't help much. I was able to get the word out though. I learned a few things: ALWAYS bring buisness cards, make sure your displays are sturdy, and check the weather beforehand.
All of the sales for Beijaflor Accessories will for now on be going towards our service trip to Mexico in August. SO excited! We are going to Rocky Point to work in an orphanage.
I will deffinatly be at the Farmers Market next week- hopefully see you all there! It's on Thursdays from 5-9 PM.
Beija Flor Accessories
Beija Flor is Portuguese for "butterfly", but it literally means "kissing flower" or "beautiful flower", which leads to why it is my company name. I believe that accessories can enhance your already-present natural beauty (courtesy of Amber Edgecomb). I am here to add a "kiss" of color and sparkle to everyones lives, therfore enhancing, and perfecting, their natural beauty. I want to sell products that are at a great price, but still great quality.

New creations!
This one is made with the small, thin feathers that come off of the decorative peacock feathers. The decoration is a black button with a gem glued in it's center.
This was inspired by my little sister: making a flower out of feathers.
another feather-flower-- just with bigger feathers.
This is made from peacock feathers-- can you believe it? this is 3 brown and tan feathers with 2 gems at the base.
The most well-known peacock feather, with the decorative "eye" on top.
(side view)
This is a group of raven-like peacock feathers with a bunch of pearl beads at the bottom.
NOTE: all of these can be made in either headband, hair clip, or pin form.

well my computer is being stupid and won't let me download the pics I want, so I'm sorry I can't show any examples yet. If you attend Lakeridge Jr. High, I will be selling a few during first lunch this Thursday. I have made mostly feather extensions but I'll bring a few flower clips and maybe a few headbands. If I am successful in selling them during lunch, then I'll come the following Tuesday and Thursday (first lunch). I can't make too big of a deal about it at school or the teachers might kick me out :). I'll be out in the side field (by the flag pole) if you are interested. Hope to see you there!
